When the forecast looked bad

Tropical Storm Isidore's sweep across Louisiana wrought an estimated $18 million in flood damage and left thousands of residents without power as they looked ahead to long days of bailing water from cars and homes.

The Aftermath
Isidore made landfall early Thursday September 25th, just off of Grand Isle, La., and was 20 miles southwest of New Orleans at 4am Central Time. Gov. Jeb Bush declared a state of emergency Wednesday for most of the Florida Panhandle.

The good side of it
We took the chance to go down to Mexico Beach and collected an assortment of larger shells which had been swept up by the storm tides.
